Hygge origins
Hygge (pronounced ügghe) is a Danish word that is a feeling or mood that comes taking genuine pleasure in making ordinary, every day moments more meaningful, beautiful or special.
Some refer to hygge as an “art of creating intimacy” (either with yourself, friends and your home). While there’s no one english word to describe hygge, several can be used interchangeably to describe the idea of hygge such as cosiness, charm, happiness, security, familiarity, comfort, reassurance, kinship, and simpleness.
It's one often connected to the idea that the Danes are the happiest people in the world, and that it's 'hygge' that provides the secret to their success.
A bit more about me
I grew up in a very little village up in the mountains in the north of Italy, a unique and enchanted place called the Lake Valley that I decided to leave to follow my passions and explore the world. I moved to Milan, then to the north of Germany and then to The Netherlands, in Amsterdam, where I stopped a bit to work in a interior design studio.
I've always brought with me every piece of each experience I've lived in these years, as well as the values of the little region where I came from and where I decided to come back and mix together the knowledge collected so far.

Down here some of the places I visited in the past years organized by colour
